Dr. hari,
I totally agree with you. I will use your analogy in my yoga classes. Our minds are the hardest things to relax, stretch and transform. Without the flexibility of both the mental (consciousness) and physical we can not achieve our true potential. I think that one of the most interesting journeys of yoga and yoga teaching is finding the balance between meditation, breath practice, and the asanas. Yoga is such an ancient practice and it is so exciting for me to realize how deep the level of learning is. As with professional athletes, performers, etc. it's interesting to think about the relationship between mental and physical. How does age influence this?
So many cool thoughts. I hope to hear your opinions.

dear francis,
me a pediatrician and a practising yoga teacher since 13 years.
as i understand its the focus of our attention at the body posture which makes it a yogic posture.one is benifitted only by pracising yogic postures.
suppose an individual is doing yoga aasanas and at the same time his mind is in the process of simultaneous thinking than he is not paying his attention 2 his yogic postures and the phenomenon of yoga does not happen.it is the mixing of our attention energy and the muscular posture physical energy which leads 2 transformation 2 conscious energy and conscious energy is the HEALING POWER throuh which and only through which the body derives the benifitts and the alchemy takes place.i hope u agree with me.
love, dr hari
