In my opinion, the person who wrote that isn't qualified to be a teacher or to write on the topic. I really don't understand how people respond to the whole thing. Anyhow I work with an older population and am just interested in sharing things that teachers do when working with such a population. I know for myself that one of the problems I face is the "mix" I might have in any one class. I'm not in a position where I can offer specific classes to meet needs and find it difficult to not only modify things for those less able, but to also challenge those with more ability.
