I know this article is a bit older but I've coming back to it many times already and enjoy reading it over and over again. I'm a Yoga instructor and just recently became a Triathlete and Runner and agree with all the points mentioned. Thank you for this article!

THANK YOU for this enlightening and helpful article! I teach yoga, triathletes workshops in Houston, TX (www.yogaonehouston.com) and even though many triathletes know yoga will help they don't really know how. Many come to the workshops pushing, pushing, pushing their bodies and I gently remind them, this isn't a competition! Treat it like recovery time and your body will experience bliss in reward for all of your nurturing, on and off season! I love the section about positive thinking and would like to add that laying an intent (ex: I will listen to and nurture my body during this training) for each yoga practice, run, bike, swim, weight session will help you with focus during your workout and will result in a tri-layer satisfaction rate; physical, spiritual and mental satisfaction. Tri-per-fecta! Thanks again, Namaste.
