Canadian Yoga Regulations

Is anyone familiar with Yoga regulations in Canada (Ontario particularly) or know where to find them. I would like to take this online course but want to be sure that it is recognized here.Posted 6 years ago #

There are no regulations for Yoga instructors, at this time, in Canada. Also, there are many Canadian graduates from this program.

Certification alone is enough to teach in North America.

Canada is truly a free country. Other than any standard business requirements, you have nothing to worry about. Once you get certified as a Yoga teacher you are all set.

Agreed, Canada has no restictions on Yoga. Contrary to popular opinion, there is very little government regulation of Yoga. Yoga was banned in the Soviet Union and Soviet Block coutries, but those days have passed.
Now you can learn Yoga and teach Yoga without fear, unless you live in North Korea.

Now you have me considering the option of teaching Yoga in Canada. The Hot spots for Yoga instructors seem to be British Columbia and Ontario.
A Yoga certification is enough to teach Yoga within the US and Canada. This is the same for any state in the US or any province in Canada.

There are no restrictions in Canada for teaching Yoga. You don't even have to be certified, but you should be certified and insured to be on the safe side.Posted 6 years ago #
