Hallo,
There are so many ways of sequencing a yoga class. I would love to here how other teacher sequence there class. Does someone now a sequence to improve flexibility?
Love to hear from you,

Hi Katelijne,
I like to start with more energetic standing poses, continue with prone and seated poses, and end with supine poses. I would say that most yoga poses increase flexibility in some parts of the body; you might want to adjust your sequence on the area you want to focus on in a particular class (i.e. shoulders and arms, quadriceps, hamstrings and calves, etc.).
To get some ideas on sequencing I advise you to visit the Yoga Journal website, where you can found a large amount of information on everything related to yoga. If you digit "sequencing" on the search bar you will get many articles on the matter.
Good luck and namaste,
Laura
Hi There!
Sorry it took me so long to respond, but I think Laura has given you some great advice. My class sequencing goes as follows: I begin with a gentle warm-up sequence in a seated position, shoulder rolls, torso rolls, gentle neck movements. After that, I go into Sun Salutations, followed by hip openers, forward bends and spinal twists, backbends, cat stretches and child pose.
Lastly, I finish off with standing asanas and then a final relaxation with meditation. This seems to cover all the bases and flows very nicely as well. Hope this helps and I am glad the Yoga Journal web site was helpful as well. Best of luck to you!
Namaste,
Jeanné
