Hi B,
Sounds like a regional price war. Not Good. This happens when studio owners are agressively trying to drive each other out of business. It is not a common practice. As a matter of fact, it is bad for yoga because the public sees yoga as worth next to nothing (worth sh..) - even if it is an intro offer.
How many students would then work behind the scenes for more cut rate prices on the next package? It also creates the idea that yoga teachers are no different than prostitutes. Just find out how low we will go for their worthless services. Believe me, if yoga teachers discount so deep the public's eyes pop out - we attract high maintenance " discount customers" who will leave our studios in a heart beat for the next Best DEAL in town.
Peace,
Parell
