Namaskar Everyone,

This section of the Yoga teacher forums is very valuable because you can try these ideas and see which ones work for your Yoga teaching practice. Obviously, some Yoga teachers will object to marketing, business, and Yoga as a career.

When paul first constructed the original camp in a box, it contained all of the things yoga teachers need to teach classes, but it contained very little business or marketing material. What he did was improve the course so much that anyone could become an independent contractor without having to open their own studio.

If this bothers some yoga teachers, I ask why. In the west, and in the states, the community ds not contribute to an ashram or yoga studio with donations. If it did, we would all be able to exclusively focus on teaching. Yoga is only supported by student who pay for classes, props, books, or videos.

If you open your doors and offer free classes, you will receive nothing. This is the Bush economy. Everyone is working two jobs while foreclosures on homes sky rocket. The middle class can easily become the homeless in America. Yoga studios and fitness centers need support.

Ballys filed chapter 11 because they prostitute themselves with cheap fitness. How can cheap dues pay for glamorous buildings, payroll, and state of the art equipment?

For those whink yoga should be given away, consider this - there will be no yoga if all yoga teachers become peasants. Use your head, take the tips, try them and see what works.

Namaste,
