Pranam,
Yes, very good point. Why ds a Yoga teacher have to deny that money will feed his or her family? If you are sick from poverty, lack of health care, lack of food, and you live on the street; what example are you giving to students of Yog. It is simple to see: You would be giving the message that teaching Yoga is not good for your health. In fact, we know Yoga is excellent for health.
Paulji tell me, if you have over abundance, then give it to charities, homeless people, and help others. you cannot take it with you after this life. We are temporary custodians of wealth, so help others if you make so much money.
If a Yoga teacher believes he / she must live in poverty to be spiritual person; this is sad mistake and misinterpretation of all scriptures. Poor Yoga instructors do not help others because they are sick all the time. It is difficult to give a penny to a beggar, if you are also a beggar.
If we choose of our free will to make it difficult to help others because we freely choose to live in poverty, what do we prove?
Om shanti.
AS Kumar
