I am an Occupational therapist that got interested about a year or so ago in teaching kids. I have been using yoga with my special needs kids for about a year but more so over the last 8 months and love it. I haven't worked with teenagers but can suggest Thia Luby's book Yoga for Teens. I have taken kids yoga trainging through The Radiant Child program and through Karma Kids. At both you learn special considerations for the different age ranges. I recently added weighted props to help ADHD kids get centered while seated and /or during savasana. If you have more involved kids with downs or cerebral palsy, I would refer to Sonia Sumar's training and book Yoga for the Special Child. Teen classes look more like adult classes and the kids would like more info on anatomy and benefits of the poses while with younger kids, they like using their imaginations to pretend to be the different animals, etc. Hope this was helpful.
