If you want continuing education for a fitness credential that should be easy, but if it is with Yoga Alliance, you should talk to them as their policies and website change frequently. Here are the latest rules, but things could change next week.

If you are already an RYT, Aura correspondence courses can be used for Yoga Alliance non-contact Continuing Education Credits (CEC units). Yoga Alliance approves one non-contact (CEC) hour for every five hours of study. Any of our correspondence courses, for at least 100 hours, will yield 20 non-contact hours credit toward Yoga Alliance's 500-hour Certification.

This fulfills the Yoga Alliance's 3 year non-contact hour CEU (continuing education credit) requirement. The remaining 10-hour requirement must be contact hours. Therefore, any of our non-contact courses will meet your needs if the course(s) are at least 100 hours.

According to Yoga Alliance: Your 10 contact hours must be with an E-RYT. There are two ways to get local contact hours for continuing education, to meet the requirements for reinstatement of the Alliance RYT credential.

1. Mentor with an E-RYT, who will vouch for your hours.
