Namaskar Mark,

You have hit the nail on the head. This is why cannibalism is not acceptable.

The Jains do not eat root crops because the plant will die without the root. The Minims are a Roman Catholic order and they eat a vegan diet.

Each person, culture, and religion, view diet differently. However, the perception of the food chain can cause us to think about what is "humane" and what is not. For the moment most of us will have to eat with what we are comfortable with.

Since we practice Yoga or unity, we will have to accept our differences as they are.

Shanti,

Priyah
