Yoga students begin this sacred practice for a wide range of reasons. As we all know, tension and stress not only affect the physical body, but also our mental health and well-being. Yoga provides benefits for our mind and soul in addition to our physical bodies. Yoga does wonders for reducing stress since it is a slow, gentle form of exercise combined with a controlled breathing exercise that can promote relaxation to the body. It also helps one to more fully connect with him/herself.
