Yoga sessions that contain therapeutic asanas, guided relaxation, meditation, and healing pranayama techniques will gradually build strength in your recovering body. Pranayama techniques help in healing the lymph system. Gentle therapeutic yoga revives the entire body while relaxing the mind. Avoid Kapalabhati, Bhastrika, and Breath of Fire while recovering from cancer. These three forms of pranayama are great, but too taxing when recovering from cancer. The same is true for Surya Namaskars and standing series. Avoid Surya Namaskars and standing series when recovering from cancer.
