Our pets are beneficial to us in many ways. Some of those ways are elements you can find in yoga. Cats and dogs are the easiest to compare. It's really rare for them to hold a grudge. They can be scarred from a traumatic event. However, they Always stay open to giving and receiving love and forgive so freely. That's the first thing you can learn from them.

Secondly, it seems from the moment of birth they understand the benefits of stretching and sacred rolling. The freedom and happiness that can be achieved from those two actions and from unconditional love are something that they are Experts in! :D Whenever I get on my mat and can't seem to find my rhythm I pretend to be like my loving kitties (layla and panther) or my playful dog (princess) and the rhytm finds me!

They sometimes watch me when I'm "stretching" (practicing yoga) and on occasion try to join me for a moment on my mat LOL. It Never bothers me, always makes me smile and sometimes I thank them and tell them what a great job they're doing. <img decoding=" title="Wink" />

So go find ur little or big furry buddy and thank them for all the wisdom they have to offer and for showing us some of the ways to happpiness. Give ur dog a belly rub for a whole 20 minutes! Pet ur kitty till they purr extra loud, flip out wrap they're paws aroud ur arm and give you a love bite! Make them a special yummy healthy treat and kiss them over and over! For they are truely wise.
