Some Prenatal Yoga Classes will have guest speakers like nurses, body therapists, midwives, doctors, doulas, and other yoga teachers. In turn this opens the mind to the power of holistic care for mother and child. This holistic approach will empower women to listen to the wisdom of their own bodies.
Mothers discover the mindful path of prenatal and postpartum yoga. A prenatal yoga class brings it all of this holistic knowledge together, connecting the use of modified asana, use of pranayama, childbirth, how to use meditation, when to use yoga relaxation, and the anatomy. These classes are open to ladies in any stage of their motherhood journey, as well as to caregivers who are already working with the prenatal and postpartum community.
You should learn the following:
Safety precautions, contraindications, modifications, of therapeutic asanas and pranayamas for each trimester and postpartum.
Nurses, body therapists, midwives, doctors, doulas, and other yoga teachers share their experience about health, childbirth, and holistic care.
Discussion of anatomical, physiological, and psychological changes in pregnancy.
My intent here isn't based on offending anyone, but in response to Rose's question.
