Has anyone had problems with sending payments to the International Yoga Federation? There is no recourse if things go wrong with a wire transfer and the transfer costs an extra $40 to $80 depending on which bank you send it from.

Okay! Maybe you don't like wire transfers, but give these guys a break. The International Yoga Federation is a reputable alternative to joining the Yoga Alliance and for that I salute them. Really people we need more than one choice. I'm an IYF member and I have no problems with them at all. Yoga teachers have to stop the cheer leader club mentality. For what it's worth, writing in Spanish can only expand your mind. Since they speak Spanish as a first language, a letter in both languages can only help. I notice Paul sends messages out in English and Spanish and nobody makes a big to do about that.

I don't think anyone said anything bad here. In this day and age, the IYF should have a PayPal option. That wire transfer stuff is for the birds and there are extra fees. My bank would charge me an arm and a leg for a wire transfer, so I agree with the objections to 20th century banking methods. They should wake up. I do agree that the IYF is a reputable alternative. Last of all, if anyone has lost money transferring funds to the IYF, please feel free to speak up because that's a serious complaint.
