This is a succession of interesting posts and I think credentials hold up for public scrutiny. The truth is specialized instructor training is an enhanced credential. Most of us train within the boundaries of a 200 to 400 hour Yoga teacher training program. Then we pursue specialized training if we need to. It is hard to be a jack of all trades. In some cases we refer students to a yoga specialist teacher. Some teachers spend their days teaching young people in perfect health. In such a case - why should this teacher pursue advanced credentials? There is no need until this teacher ages and realizes that with age we find the fruitful wisdom that comes with years of study.
