I am hoping this research leads to action by those who are watching this thread.

1. Beyond basic Yoga teacher certification, do you see an advantage in have more enhanced credentials?

Yes. Yoga certification opens doors, but it would be nice to have advanced credentials too.

2. What are you looking for in a Yoga teacher association?

An association or registry that answers the phone and Email. To be treated like a human being by the staff.

3. What do you dislike about Yoga teacher associations?

A snobby attitude that indicates arrogance and has nothing to do with yoga at all. Although my comments refer to one specific group who tries to pretend they are the only registry in North America. There is one in Canada too!

4. What is your concept of an ideal Yoga teacher credential?

One that takes teaching experience to acquire. The students who just became a yoga teacher should not have the same credential as someone who has been teaching yoga for over 10 years.

5. What is your concept of an ideal Yoga teacher association?

One that is composed of yogis who practice yoga. Not a bunch of paper shufflers with a site that reads like my auto insurance policy.
