Namaskar surht,
Although we do not all share the same opinions. It is true that some people from backgrounds outside of Yoga arrogantly feel that they could learn all about Yoga in a short time. This is fueled by weekend Yoga teacher certifications.
Granted some of these graduates have fitness or physical therapy experience, but a Yoga certification should be much more than 20 to 50 hours of teacher training. There is a silver lining though. Most Yoga teachers at all levels work on continuing education. The more we learn about Yoga, the more we realize how much more there is to know.
Lastly, about homeland security regulating Yoga, free speach, and Yoga certification: Thank you for confirming my darkest fears.
