Each of those organizations are real. I guess you could join the one closest to you if you want. Registration is not required to teach yoga, but the extra wall paper might impress some students. One point to be aware of - not one registry is backed by any government - Although they might pretend to be. When state governments tried to regulate yoga teacher training in NY and NJ, they pushed the Yoga Alliance aside. Then with their hands tied - Yoga Alliance said state regulation of Yoga and shutting studios down would be a good thing; even though it would kill off the smaller studios. Luckily, state level yoga teacher associations picked up the ball and defended themselves - No thanks to Yoga Alliance and their friends in the big ashrams.
