Anyone can start an Alliance. There is no limit to these divisions of registries that claim to be the chicken before the egg. We could start the eastern, western, mid-western, Hindu, Christian, Jewish, or Muslim Yoga Alliance too! It is an insult to our intelligence. Yoga teachers should know better. Each is a yoga organization, while all of them would like to make the public think yoga registration is required. Yoga teachers should resist joining until these organizations show complete honesty. This deception among the registries about being the arm of the government is best displayed by British Wheel of Yoga. THEY ARE NOT A GOVERNMENT AGENCY! Neither are any of the other pretenders. An arm of the government is the government. No government would give power to a Yoga organization. Please research and think about it logically.
