Hi There Parell,

You have many good points. I am hard pressed to understand how registration can be seen as higher status over a certification. YA ds not know any of the teachers they register. There is no test! Has YA seen any of the Yoga instructors they register teach a class?

They are supposedly all about the "contact hours," but they are an online organization with no required practicum and there is no contact with them. At least, Paul's online course requires you to submit a video of yourself teaching.

Then YA makes people think registration is required, when some teachers still have don't have a diploma! At first YA said they would protect us from the government.

Most of the world's governments are far too busy avoiding bankruptcy to care about Yoga. Yoga is about prevention. Governments are about damage control, when a problem is happening or after it has already happened. Like Hurricane Katrina for example.

Their direction is interesting. Now, YA are trying to create an issue over safety. Most students come to Yoga with pre-existing problems. The last thing they need is an unsafe yoga teacher, but what ds YA do?

Use the media to point at teachers who are not registered. They will now protect the public from Yoga teachers who are not registered! What a clever ploy. They are masters of cunning. What a think tank at YA.

Interesting - a RYT who the Alliance ds not even know, see, and they have never met, must be safe because he or she paid a hundred bucks per year for a piece of wall paper.

Peace,

Vanessa

P.S. Moderators - Thank you for the freedom to write thoughts down. I know some of you are involved in YA, but I appreciate the fair play.
