Kind Regards to All,
Hari Om,
How can self-appointed organisations become the watch dogs of yoga? It is interesting, but also frightening to see this happening. I understand it is in the best interest of yoga teachers to continue their education and practice, but is the watch dog of yoga the good shepherd or the wolf? Please think about it.
This is not meant to hurt anyone, but the reasoning is not entirely clear. What is the motive of all this registering? Why are yoga teachers being herded like sheep? There is a similar organisation like this in England and Australia too. It ds make one wonder about the reason for their existence.
Do they plan to regulate prayers, meditation, japa, mantra, and selfless service too? Can I go to a temple without fear of being regulated? How can any organisation regulate bhakti, karma, tantra, jnana, mantra, or the yoga of Patanjali?
Should they regulate kundalini and hatha? Do we teach exercise classes? Yoga is not an aerobics class. I hope you will understand.
Peace,
A.S. Kumar
