Let's be honest. One of the best methods for Yoga teachers to promote themselves is through certification. Who is kidding who? If you have a lot of experience, you can always apply your teaching hours toward becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher. It is not that much to joins the Yoga Alliance or the British Wheel of Yoga. Yes, they are starting to regulate Yoga, but they have a worth while purpose.

New Yoga teachers should be certified by an organization of their choosing, then think about registering later. Stay on good terms with past Yoga teachers and Yoga studios you have worked for.
