I would strongly concur on this one. As a 51 year-old Yoga teacher, I find that older and also beginning Yoga students feel very comfortable with an older teacher that ds not necessarily have a "perfect" body. Furthermore, younger students are inspired by older teachers. More than once I have heard the comment from younger students...."I sure hope I can still do this when I'm your age"
With this in mind, there is a real need for teachers that are 50 and beyond, as the largest segment of the population ("baby boomers") is in this age range and very health conscious. At our studio we have had a number of people beginning serious Yoga study following their retirement.
