Hi There,
Sorry to hear of all the negative experiences you are having. I teach in my home and love the warm, calm atmosphere it creates. I encourage my students to stay as long as they like after final meditation and since my class is small (about 6 students), I am always assisting them.
I really have nothing to gage your experiences against as when I got hooked on yoga I was in a small class held in a pediatric office. I have always steered clear of studios and gyms. Maybe I feared what you have seen would be the norm.
Anyway, I would look at your negative yoga class experience as what you do NOT want to do with your students. I agree with you when you tell your friends, this is not the norm. There are many of us like you.
Best of luck.
Namaste,
Jeann
