Kind Regards Kiley,
Namaskar!
In an ashram a yoga class may last 2 to 3 hours. In a health club, a class may be 45 minutes. So, your lesson plan really depends on the type of students you have. If students are fixated on asana in your lesson plan, it is because they think yoga is only an exercise.
It is still possible to teach pranayam, asana, and meditation in 60 minutes to physically oriented students. Give your students a 60 minute asana sandwich.
Do pranayam (bhastrika, Kapalbhati, Bharmari and udgeeth, etc.) at the beginning for 5 minutes in sukasana. In the last 15 minutes of your class practice Anulom-Viloma pranayam for 3 minutes and then practice meditation for 12 minutes.
You still have time do teach them 40 minutes of asana practice in between the pranayam and meditation.
Hari Om Tat Sat,
Kuldeep
