Nbuff - I am so sorry to hear about your sister's condition. Although I have no experience with the therapeutic use of Yoga in situations of cancer, I would think that some restorative poses and pranayama could be useful for her to maintain energy and actually promote the actions of other medical therapies that she is receiving. Using restorative poses, especially supported restorative poses, would be useful to promote deep relaxation and this should be beneficial. I would also suggest looking at Jon Kabit-Zinn's work on the use of meditation with cancer patients. I believe his work has shown increased survival times with the use of meditation, although some of these studies were conducted in a group situation. He has written several books related to meditation including "Wherever You Go, There You Are" and "Full Catastrophe Living". Again, while I have no experience in this area, these are some suggestions.
