I think the first few things to consider are how physically fit she is, and how "spiritual" is she.

I would NEVER suggest that yoga was a cure for cancer, but I do know that in one way or another, it can almost always lessen symptoms of injury and illness.

Thinking positively, it seems to me that the more you know your body and mind, the better you are able to channel energy to wherever an ailment might reside, and this sort of introspection is central to most branches of yoga.
