BWY is an option and so is registration. There is also the Yoga Alliance UK, if you want to consider another registering option.
You are right about the materials and they constantly work to improve at Aura. In my opinion IYN will not give you any of the grief one comes to expect from BWY. At the same time, while talking to the Independent Yoga Network, you can ask them about a list of recommended insurers.
Below are two Yoga insurance companies for the UK, but I'm sure there are many more.
