Before I started to practice Yoga regularly some 5 years ago, I used to catch serious colds at least 5 times a year. This has changed completely. It's not that I don't get ill anymore, but it's nothing compared to how it used to be! Now, I'm also much more aware of the first signs of an illness.
The mindful, non-judging approach of Yoga has also tought me a great deal about how to cope with panic attacks and anxiety a few years ago. Yoga philosophy and exercises helped me to sit with my experiences in compassion, instead of shying away from them. This was actually the only thing that really helped. Now, a few years later, I consider myself panic-free, and a lot wiser too " title="Wink" />
Yoga helped many of my students with headaches and back pain. Personally, I've never had any problems like that, but it makes me very happy to see Yoga helped them so much.
Namaste,
Susanna
