You should see a doctor to be safe. Any damage to the knee area is worth a visit to your local physician. You have an injury that is swelling, but has not shown a sign of bruising. This may be a deeper bruise and my concern is for your knee joint.
Once you visit a doctor, you will likely be advised to avoid any Yoga postures or exercise that puts pressure on the knee. You described two postures. One is with the knee bent and the other is with the knee straight. You are feeling pain at both extremes. For this reason: I strongly suggest you visit a doctor right away.
