Yoga is beneficial for balancing unpredictable emotions during menopause. Standing and seated forward bends calm the mind and nervous system, pacify the adrenal glands, and elongate the spine. Twists also help and tone the adrenals and calm sympathetic nervous system. Twists also help improve the functioning of the liver and kidneys. Inversion can help balance the endocrine system; (The endocrine system controls the changes in hormone levels that occur during menopause) improve circulation to the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, and hypothalamus glands and the nerves and cool the brain, and generate a more balanced energy. Forward bends can also help alleviate moodiness during perimenopause period.
