I am working with a group to lower blood pressure with yoga meditation practice. It has been a few weeks now and we have seen a drop in the readings of the group. Some of the members practice at home while others do not, so we have separated them into statistical categories in relation to the amount of independent practice.
There is also a handout with 24 basic yoga postures. None of them are complicated and we have reviewed them a few times. Basically we are finding results in those who can practice at home. My question - Does anyone know of studies related to this subject. We would like to keep this program in place, but tight budgets make every program questionable. If I have hard data, I can make a case.

Yoga meditation is a blessing to the modern stressed out mind. Nowadays it is very important to have a peaceful mind. Most of the complications or illnesses that the body may experience are the result of a troubled mind. According to psychologist the brain can be influenced by several external factors and these factors can contribute to the behavior of a person regardless of its impact.
Generally a person who is suffering from too much stress is characterized with an undesirable behavior. Psychologists believe that stress can interrupt and diminish the natural behavior of a person because it generally targets the mind. Yoga can train the mind with meditation.
The brain is considered as the control system of the entire human body. It is the one that directs messages and impulses throughout the body. However the brain is only the physical or physiological aspect of the control system. The one that performs the duty or task of controlling the entire human body is the psyche. The mind is the one who analyzes the things that roams around the system of the body. It is also the one which is responsible in creating any forms of responses towards nature or the external environment.
Since the mind is very important we must take the safest way to maintain its balance and healthy condition. Keeping the mind safe from any forms of danger is an ideal but a difficult task to maintain. It requires the attention and willingness of a person. The mind must be treated as one of the most priceless jewelries because it is indeed so.
There are several tips on how you can get rid of environmental stress that endangers the mentality of a person. According to psychologist a method without any forms of drugs or medicine is the best way to acquire a peaceful and healthy psyche. It must be all natural and organic. It is because any forms of drugs or medicines can affect the overall condition of the brain.
Yoga has been one of the best methods that was originally practiced only by Hindus. It is the activity that describes their culture and beliefs. The individuals who engage in this certain type of practice are called Yogi. The principles of yoga are truly philosophical since it includes their beliefs about the self and the propagation of the mind. During the new birth of modern yoga, people all over the world are practicing yoga to search for the knowledge of knowing themselves. All forms of yoga aim to unify nature and the mind of human beings.
Yoga meditation often includes physical activity. Stretching in yoga asana is the basic step in performing this type of activity. It is very important to use the proper kinds of training when it comes to finding a certified yoga instructor because poor quality instruction is prone to accidents. Proper yoga training is required for those who want to practice yoga in a safe place.
