Namaskar Hamed,
Funny how Yoga crosses social boundaries. Thank you for your straight forward answers. Yes, you are correct about my spiritual beliefs as well and I understand the reason for your opinion is based upon observation and study.
Here's another point to consider. We know the sattvic diet is healthy and good for the planet, but we also know that people in northern or cold climates will not eat a pure sattvic diet. The points you mentioned are sound observations.
Here are my points based on my findings and yours:
1. A raw vegetarian diet is a hard sell in a cold climate. This means that for now animals will be sacrificed and cooked (using energy) with vegetables and other foods.
2. If we convince people in northern climates to change, it will come slowly. Many people still overcook food with the use of microwave ovens and conventional stoves.
3. The answer has started with the introduction of vegetarian burgers, vegetarian sausages and more. These must be cooked lightly for us to benefit nutritionally.
4. Cooking is going to happen in a cold climate. Cold food in a cold climate will leave a person feeling depressed and frustrated.
