Namaskar Dear Ones,
A.S. Kumar you make a Good Point about too much of a good thing. Many people believe the ultimate yoga diet should be very high alkaline. But an important fact is missing here. Moderation is better than extremes! Eat many things, but don't eat too much of a good or bad thing.
Do Doctors, Dietitians and Health Professionals Recommend Alkaline Diets?
No. The studies about alkaline diets are extremely limited to animal and test tube trials. There's absolutely no scientific evidence at this time that would suggest alkaline diets are beneficial to humans.
Ds an Alkaline pH Destroy Cancer Cells?
There are no medical or scientific studies on humans to support that an alkaline diet will cause the prevention or treatment of cancer. Test tube research studies have shown that some cancer cells grow faster in an acidic solution. Although it is also proven that some chemotherapy drugs become more effective if the area around a tumor cell is altered to be more alkaline.
Bu we can't just speculate that what happens in test tube conditions will also happen inside the human body. The Body is not a test tube.
Much as I love Yoga myths, the medical and science communities want concrete evidence. For now all we have is intelligent speculation and hunches.
OM Shanti
