Hello,

Sorry to admit this - I was just certified this year over a weekend fitness yoga instructor certification, but I have to admit some deep confusion over the types of yoga mentioned on this forum, the blog, https://yoga-teacher-training.blogspot.com/ and in the newsletters. I now feel as if, I was taken advantage of because we learned 24 postures, 3 breathing techniques, and nothing about philosophy or purpose. Some of the ideas about mudras, pranayama, chakras, sutras etc, ar totally foreign to me. I would be curious to hear from the Yoga teachers on this forum about your perspective of the true purpose of Yoga training and what i should do at this point.
