Namaskar Roy,

It really depends on the student, style, and the level of Yoga instruction. Some Yoga teachers define a beginner as one who has studied for less than five years. Some people feel that mastering a few challenging asanas defines the difference in levels of accomplishment. Therefore, this is an open question with many possible answers.
