Aura Yoga Focuses on Student Safety, Healing, and Awakening. It is important that teachers of yoga demonstrate proper techniques so as to promote healing and inner awakening in their students. Yoga has an array of benefits for the mind and body. Students will be able to reap the full benefits through the proper practice of techniques.

Yoga has many health and healing benefits through its ability to improve overall health. Students must learn that healing begins with accepting the person that they are. Once self-acceptance has occurred, the process of reducing stress and increasing well-being can begin. Teachers of aura yoga should be able to demonstrate the proper techniques and poses that are optimal for healing.

Health benefits come from the breathing techniques, stretching and improved fitness through yoga. Physical, as well as mental healing can be accomplished through the practice of yoga. Yoga aids in healing or minimizing the effects of such conditions as high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, asthma and pain associated with other medical conditions.

Aura yoga is a yoga style that differs from other yoga styles which views self-awakening as the end of the practice. The yoga teacher training in Aura wants graduates to think for themselves. The guru doesn't want mindless sheep. He encourages people to manage their lives with self empowerment. Aura yoga views self-awareness as the first step in the succeeding practices associated with a healthy life. With Aura yoga, a deeper form of meditation is used to create inner awareness. This awareness and internal awakening makes a person understand that they are part of a larger universe that is controlled by a divine being.

The poses in yoga are often recognized for their physical benefits. However, the poses are a powerful tool in understanding one's inner self. Aura yoga teachers should teach their students in a way that students have a heightened sense of self-awareness. They should be able to recognize physical and mental discomforts and use the techniques and poses they have learned to counter these discomforts.

Yoga instructors should also stress the importance of meditation as a way to increase self-awareness. Achieving self-awareness is essential in helping one to know what is needed to nourish and improve one's self. Self-awareness will help the student gain a positive perspective about themselves and their body which will begin to affect all aspects of life.

Students learn from their instructors. Therefore, it is vital for Aura yoga teachers to have a positive attitude and to properly demonstrate breathing techniques and postures that will maximize the physical and mental benefits of yoga for their students.
