Hi Rose,

While I am logged in, I thought i'd give you my view. International Yoga Federation seems to be the orginal of 200 as the magical number for minimum hours. No idea why they came up with it, but others have copied their model. About differences - there will always be those. I heard about a few weekend yoga trainings and i know Iyengar is for years! I guess 200 hours is middle of the road, but Aura has level 1 choices from 200 to 320 teacher training hours.
