Namaskar,
Has anyone ever had an experience like this? When using Sanskrit words for postures, some of my students object due to "religious reasons." For example - we do warm ups and move to sun salutations. As they were going to downward dog pose, I said "Adho Mukha Svanasana."
Whoops - I was accused of casting an evil spell on them! Now, I'm nervous because the locals are accusing me of calling up the Prince of Darkness. Thank God, I never exposed this group to mantras.
Has anyone got any ideas for reasoning with people like this? Any advice will help.
Namaste,
