Related to this: Maya is an Untruth that becomes an accepted fact. We have seen dictators do this. They have statues, portraits, and postage stamps designed with their images, because they want the people to adore them.

At the same time, they are usually overseeing a holocaust of some sort. They do not deserve a foot note in our history. But they spread lies that people believe and they gain followers.
