About family yoga classes: I'm trying to be positive but be prepared to hand rules out to parents. Kids are just kids but parents should know better. Family yoga can work if you have firm policies in place.
Here's an example, but most are just common sense.
The studio opens at ____ and the doors will be locked until ___.
Parents are required to be in a family yoga class.
Discounts do not apply to gift certificates.
Schedule is subject to change.
We close for the following holidays: ______
Please listen to instructions during classtime.
Refrain from wearing perfume or cologne.
Your body should be clean before class.
Class packages begin the day of the first class taken.
Class packages are not refundable.
Class packages may not be shared.
You must pick up your child in the yoga studio.
Please arrive to class on time.
No cell phones or pagers allowed in class.
Shs and socks aren't allowed in the yoga studio.
Stick to your policies and don't back down. Some parents just want to drop kids off and pick them up off the street. Yes, yoga is cheaper than a babysitter but don't let them take advantage of you. They will drop them off for 3 hours if you don't set rules.
