Improve Your Health and Your Relationship With Yoga

By Allura Joy

Yoga is an excellent way to increase strength, agility and blood flow to all parts of the body. You can be any age, shape or size to enjoy the benefits of yoga. There are hundreds of styles and various levels to explore from gentle stretching and breathing exercises for the physically challenged - to advanced power yoga for an incredibly intense workout. Consistency is essential for maintaining peace, focus, agility, and optimum health and well-being.

Yoga is especially beneficial for reducing stress and anxiety, calming the mind and gaining more focus and clarity. By combining meditative deep breathing with physical movement and stretching out your muscles, yoga offers a holistic approach to exercise in nourishing the body, mind and soul.

As yoga expands your awareness and helps you become more in tune with your body, it will also greatly improve your sex life! Your heightened sense of responsiveness and physical sensitivity will enhance your ability to receive and enjoy sexual pleasure.

Yoga for better sex

Great sex is one of the ultimate mind-body experiences. So is great yoga! Not only is yoga an amazing stress reliever, but certain postures improve flexibility, increase blood flow, and open your heart-all of which are necessary for a hot sex life. Perhaps most importantly, yoga teaches true mindfulness-living only in the present moment. Most women feel they have a problem remaining focused, one reason why sex may be boring or unemotional for them. The mindfulness you learn during yoga can translate to other parts of your life, so you can enjoy lovemaking entirely for what it is, and not think or worry about anything else.

Yoga can help put you more in harmony with your own body and mind and so, make you a better partner. It can also keep you fit and healthy, and help you cultivate and maintain emotional and physical states. And of course practicing yoga can allow you to get into some very interesting sex positions! Attend frequent yoga classes, and/or practice at home. Create a designated time and space to enjoy yoga either on your own or with your partner, as it can deepen the connection you feel with your companion when you practice together.

Couples Yoga

Partner yoga can improve your understanding of yourself and your partner while building trust and a greater sense of intimacy. There are a number of resources (on-line, books, videos and classes) with yoga positions that couples can do together - utilizing one another's bodies for support, props and leverage. Even if you're both not seasoned yogis, you and your partner can enjoy sitting quietly either face to face or back to back for relaxing meditation and synchronized breathing. This non-competitive physical activity is ideal for couples to engage in, as you both explore the vast ranged of holistic nuances together.

As you practice various poses together, your relationship can be revitalized with gentle touch, open communication, and the focused attention on one another. Always respect the body's limitations, and never force a pose or criticize your partner if he struggles with any aspect of yoga. Remember, the overall goal of performing yoga together is to improve your mental, physical, and emotional well being, as well as your connection with one another.

Sweating, breathing, and moving together are all fantastic foreplay! Sharing a gentle stretching session or an intense workout at the same time can often lead to passionate intimacy. A relaxing massage is always appreciated to soothe sore muscles and a great segue into a pleasurable sensual rub down. Be sure to have some Sensual Massage product on hand for a smooth sexy bodyglide, as well as an excellent lubricant for a long-lasting sexual adventure.
