Hi B,
As you can guess the more people within a geographic area the better. If you are in the middle of cattle country, you may have more difficulty in comparison to a Yoga teacher in Boulder or San Francisco.
Sounds like a double handicap, but all is not lost. If you have a small area to work with you could get 100% market saturation with flyers, brochures, or direct mail. This is not the usual case for some people where we might have one suburb next to another and nobody wants to leave their little neighborhood.
What is the population of your town? If it is less than 10,000 people with no towns in sight, direct mail will give you 100% market saturation. Depending upon your goals you could develop classes that are age specific and give a few variations for the 18 to 55 crowd.
You should also develop a web presence for the present and future. This is as easy as getting a free blog or website. It may cost you time, but you won't spend a dime.
Peace,
Sheryl
