Hi Donna:
Yoga is a public service; just like medicine, and alternative medicine.
Sorry, but it's not free. Should a minister, teacher, doctor, psychologist, or a chiropractor work for free too? This is ludicrous to think that a person who gives to the public should also live the life of a beggar.
This is an old issue, but Yoga teachers have a right to eat and sleep with a roof over their heads. Poverty is not good for your health, but being a gluton is not healthy either.
Most Yoga teachers are living examples of moderation. This is a message the public needs to take to heart - literally and figuratively. Preventative medicine is something the public needs to be massively educated about.
