"Guerrilla marketing" is a term that means advertising your business in ways that involve little or no outlay of cash.
Now, guerrilla marketing is good only up to a point --- in this world you really do get what you pay for. However, when you are just getting started it is the only way for most to get their t in the door. Plus, no matter how much your advertising budget is you shouldn't ignore alternate means of publicizing yourself.
The Internet has many avenues for guerrilla marketing, but I'd like to restrict this thread to non-Internet means.
Let's brainstorm about ways for yoga teachers to market themselves without spending a lot of cash.
Probably the simplest is to print up business cards and tell EVERYONE what you do -- the old word-of-mouth approach.
Another time-tested means of getting a break is to take over for someone who is sick or has a conflict. Offer to substitute, and when you are asked to do so, do the best job you can possibly do.
What else do you all have to contribute?
