I've been giving free demonstrations at Head Start, library and stores to show parents what a kid's yoga class is all about. I will usually start by saying it helps with development of strength, coordination and learning self-calming and destressing skills. I explain that I usually have 3 parts to my class: a breathing exercise, activity or movement and then relaxation time at the end. I usually bring feathers that the children can keep to use for my breathing exercise for the demo., a yoga game of poses and relaxation is usually brief but sometimes not at all if the parents are very talkative or the setting gets loud.
