Yes, I have worked with pre-teen kids in a family Yoga setting. This is good bonding time for parents and children. If a parent wants to insure a child's close relationship, it starts at birth. Yet, some parents leave the play station to do the bonding. The parent / child relationship requires work and many parents are not up to the task. You will only see parents who care in the family yoga classes. It would be the same in any other activity. Parents must maintain the bond for life. Otherwise the child is confused, listens to peer pressure, cannot think for himself, and gets into trouble.
