I was wondering if anyone had any idea about applications or resources for learning Sanskrit?

The Language of Yoga book and CD set is probably the best resource for learning the names of asanas in Sanskrit. Here's a lecture by Paul that you might find useful: //www.yoga-teacher-training.org/2010/11/08/yoga-teacher-training-learning-sanskrit/

So many Sanskrit to English sites have gone out of business over the past five years that I would have to agree with Laparadis. There used to be a huge dictionary online, but they closed around 2007. Aura Wellness Center carries that book / CD set in their online store.

If you are training or deciding to become a yoga instructor, I would consider Paul's advice carefully about studying a foreign language steadily and with patience. The great thing about those CDs is they can be played in a car or you could transfer them to an iPod and listen to them anywhere.
